cBB Chat using Websockets?

First of all, great work on cBB Chat, it is by far the best chat I've ever seen for phpbb.

Recently I came across this mod: https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtop ... &t=2095194

Does cBB Chat also make use of this? And if not, do you have plans to do so in the future?
